About the event
"The Family Field Day" will be held on Sunday, September 8th from 10am-2pm at the Mead Wildlife Area. Audubon members and Friends of Mead Board Members will help with a variety of “hands on” craft and nature activities including building a bird feeder. Participants can also take a (guided) wild flower walk. Participants can also explore the nature trails, the boardwalk, observation decks and "Green Energy” visitors' center”. Come out and bring the whole family. The Friends of Mead Board will lead a open air tour on the Mead Education Exploror at Noon. To wrap up the day, join David Stokes with great humor and critters from 1:00-2:00pm. You don't want to miss it!
Snacks will be provided and picnic tables are available if you want to bring a lunch.
