Field Trip: Sandhills at Sunset

Each fall, Sandhill cranes gather in wetlands as they begin to make their southward migration; Wisconsin has some of the best habitats to view Sandhill cranes on their staging grounds. Join us, on Sunday evening, October 29th, as we travel to the Buena Vista Grasslands for an opportunity to learn about, and view these magnificent birds in large numbers, as well as, a great chance to squeeze in a little grassland birding! We will most likely visit several locations within Buena Vista Grasslands, but very little walking is anticipated; we will likely stay on, or very close to, the dirt and gravel roads when out of our vehicles.
